Local Trade Finder UK operates an online directory connecting customers with independent tradespeople.

We do not provide trade services and are not a party to any contract formed between a customer and a trader.

2. Our Role

We provide a listing and search platform only.

  • We do not guarantee availability, pricing, or quality of work.
  • We do not supervise or manage trade services.
  • We are not an agent of any trader listed.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  • Verify qualifications and insurance where appropriate.
  • Agree scope of work and payment terms directly with the trader.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

4. Reviews & Content

Reviews must be truthful and based on genuine experience.

We reserve the right to remove content that is defamatory, misleading, abusive, or unlawful.

5. Disputes

Any disputes arising from work carried out are strictly between the customer and the trader.

Local Trade Finder UK accepts no liability for contractual disputes, damages, or losses.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under UK law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability shall not exceed £100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

7. Platform Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may suspend the platform for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

1. Agreement to Terms

By subscribing to Local Trade Finder UK you agree to these terms.

2. Nature of Service

We provide advertising and directory listing services only.

We do not guarantee customer enquiries, revenue, or work volume.

3. Subscription & Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • Payment is taken automatically on a recurring basis.
  • You authorise recurring payments when subscribing.
  • Promotional discounts apply only as advertised.
  • Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

4. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid billing period. No partial refunds are provided.

5. Trader Obligations

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Maintain valid insurance where required.
  • Comply with UK laws and regulations.
  • Not misrepresent qualifications or services.

6. Complaints & Removal

We may suspend or remove listings where information is misleading, serious complaints arise, legal risks exist, or platform rules are breached.

We are not required to provide prior notice in serious cases.

7. No Guarantee of Work

  • No guarantee of leads.
  • No guarantee of enquiries.
  • No guarantee of revenue.
  • No guarantee of search ranking position.

8. Intellectual Property

You grant us permission to display your business name, logo, and content for promotional purposes.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Local Trade Finder UK against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your services, negligence, misrepresentation, breach of law, or breach of these terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to one month’s subscription fee. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Platform Availability

We may suspend access for maintenance, security, or compliance reasons.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

2. Platform Role

Local Trade Finder UK processes personal data solely for the purpose of operating the directory platform and does not control how traders process customer data outside the platform.

3. Trader Responsibilities

  • Comply with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Process customer data lawfully and securely.
  • Not misuse or unlawfully retain customer information.

4. Third-Party Processors

We use third-party providers including Supabase (data hosting) and Stripe (payment processing). These providers process data in accordance with their own data protection obligations.

4. Chargebacks

Fraudulent or unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension.
